About Me

Just so you know a little about me, my name is Sarah Grace, and I’m just a college girl that loves the Lord, and living a healthy and fit lifestyle. I’m currently a junior at the University of Florida and majoring in the field of Dietetics/ Food Science and Human Nutrition.  I have always loved being active, whether it be playing soccer and basketball when I was younger, or running cross country and track up through my first year in college as a D1 student-athlete. Now I am a member  and Secretary of Alpha Delta Pi, Vice President of the Culinary Arts Student Union, and an Assistant Director for Panhellenic Council :) Even with a busy lifestyle , I never fail to keep my health and fitness in mind, as I love to cook and create healthy recipes! I’ve created this site to share my passion of creating healthy dishes and recipes, along with workouts in hopes that I may also help you live out a healthy, whole, and active life!

You can email me with any questions or comments at FreshFitnHealthy@gmail.com, and find me on instagram at @freshfitnhealthy!

Xoxo, Sarah Grace

It is so nice to read another dietetic students blog!! Are you applying for internships this year?! Anyways, I’m so happy I found your blog – not to mention your recipes all sound so good!

    • freshfitnhealthy July 18, 2013 at 4:23 pm #

      Hi Kailey!
I will actually only be a junior this coming year, so I have one more year before applying. But that is awesome that you are a dietetics student as well! Do you know what schools you want to apply to? And thank you for all your kind feedback!

I’m a applying to two in California and two in New England :) I was looking at U of F Gainesville but it was too science/clinically based for me haha

      • freshfitnhealthy July 20, 2013 at 10:09 pm #

I go to UF now! But I don’t think I’ll want to do my internship there. Where in Cali?! Either Univ. Virginia or somewhere in Cali would be my first pick! And New England?! I didn’t even know they had them over seas!

Just found your blog after your post on Carrots N’ Cake and I love it! I love seeing blogs from other college girls. It also really excites me that you love Jesus and are in a sorority! Sorority girls live busy lives that’s for sure!

Hey Sarah! I came across your blog recently and couldn’t stop myself from commenting after reading this. I was really excited to read that you’re studying dietetics at UF. I’m currently a senior in high school and coincidentally, reallyyy want to go there for the same major! I’m just kind of curious to know how your experience has been? Anyway, looking forward to following your blog, I’m loving it so far:-)

    • freshfitnhealthy September 25, 2013 at 2:14 pm #

      Hi Valeria!
Awh that is awesome that you want to come here! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience so far. UF has so many opportunities, and the dietetics program here is harder than most schools, but because of that, looks so good when you graduate from it! It is very well thought of by dietetic internships (which are VERY hard to get into), so it is a great program to be in! Hope you have a great senior year :)

    Hello Sarah,

First of all, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR BLOG! The recipes are so easy to make, don’t cost a fortune, and are delicious! I admire how you make staying close to Christ and maintaining a healthy lifestyle in college a priority in your life. You’re truly an inspiration.

I am also a student here at the University of Florida. I’m a sophomore studying Industrial and Systems Engineering. I’m not in a sorority (although I did rush spring 2013) but I’m involved with Engineering Ambassadors and College of Engineering Peer Advisors. This past February I ran my first half marathon and am running my second half in 10 days and my first full marathon in February.

Over the past year I have struggled with my body image and eating healthy but I am finally coming to a great place in my life. I have decided to commit to a healthy lifestyle because I want to create healthy habits that will last a lifetime. Your blog and instagram has been a part of my inspiration. In addition, I’m trying to lose 10 pounds. What’s your advice?

    Thank you!

Hi Ellie! Wow this message made my day to read, you are so sweet. Thank you for all the positive feedback and encouragement, I really do appreciate it. And it is awesome to always meet another gator! If you would like any advice despite me not being certified in any type of manner yet, please email me at FreshFitnHealthy@gmail.com :) Have a blessed day!

      xoxo, Sarah Grace
